Menteri BUMN Jajal Kendaraan Tempur Buatan Pindad

Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN), Rini M Soemarno, hari ini (24/1/2019) melakukan kunjungan kerja di Bandung, Jawa Barat. Dalam kunjungan ini, Rini Soemarno menyempatkan diri mengendarai langsung Panser Anoa 6x6 buatan PT Pindad (Persero) sambil mengelilingi fasilitas produksi Pindad di Bandung.

Panser Anoa 6x6 karya Pindad telah diproduksi dalam berbagai varian dan telah ikut dalam misi perdamaian dunia PBB di berbagai Negara seperti Lebanon, Afrika Tengah, dan Sudan.

Lima Puluh Delapan Negara Bakal Hadiri Indo Defence 2018

Kamis (11/10/2018), di Bina Graha, Jakarta, Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Moeldoko menerima laporan penyelenggaraan Indo Defence 2018 Expo & Forum yang rencananya bakal dihelat pada 7-10 November 2018 di Jakarta Internasional Expo Kemayoran.

Dalam paparannya Dirjen Pothan Kemhan Bondan Tiara S, selain menjelaskan tentang kesiapan, juga menyatakan ajang ini untuk memamerkan potensi Indonesia sebagai salah satu pemain dalam industri pertahanan. Ekspo ini juga akan memperlihatkan ikon kemandirian.

Indonesia sets new military target

JAKARTA - Indonesian Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro said on Tuesday that the country's military is expected to meet a new power level, inscripting in presidential decree as Minimum Essential Force (MEF), within two years.

"After seeing what are displayed here, I am optimistic that we can settle the military improvement and restructuring jobs within two years as mandated by the existing law," Purnomo said on the sidelines of an exhibition displaying advancement of national defense industry in the military headquarters here.

PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI) menyerahkan lima unit Heli AKS dan satu unit Pesawat Udara CN235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) kepada Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Indonesia untuk TNI Angkatan Laut, di Hanggar Rotary Wing KP. II PTDI, Bandung, Kamis (24/1/2019)

Serah terima ditandatangani oleh Direktur Niaga PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI), Irzal Rinaldi kepada Kepala Badan Sarana Pertahanan (Kabaranahan) Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Indonesia, Laksamana Muda TNI Agus Setiadji, untuk selanjutnya secara berjenjang Kabaranahan Kemhan RI menyerahkan kepada Asisten Logistik Panglima TNI, Laksamana Muda TNI Dr. Ir. Bambang Nariyono, dari Aslog Panglima TNI diserahkan kepada Asisten Logistik Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Laut (Aslog Kasal), Laksamana Muda TNI Mulyadi,  untuk selanjutnya diserahkan dari Aslog Kasal kepada Komandan Pusat Penerbangan TNI Angkatan Laut (Danpuspenerbal), Laksamana Pertama TNI Dwika Tjahja Setiawan, S.H. sebagai penggun.

Analysts Welcome Indonesia’s Plans to Triple Defense Budget

Jakarta. The new government’s plan to bolster the country’s defense spending to almost triple its current budget by 2019 has received support from international relations analysts and military experts in Indonesia.

Luhut Panjaitan, an adviser to President Joko Widodo, said on Tuesday that Indonesia’s defense spending was targeted to increase to 1.5 percent of gross domestic product over the next five years in order to protect the country’s sovereignty and national interests.

Indonesia to Buy More Russian Jet Fighters, Patrol Ships

Indonesia plans to buy more than a dozen Russian Sukhoi fighter jets and domestically made, missile-equipped patrol ships as part of a $15 billion five-year campaign to modernize its military, defense officials said on Wednesday.

Southeast Asia’s largest economy has sharply increased its defense budget since 2010 as the military looks to bolster its capacity to protect shipping lanes, ports and maritime boundaries.

Indonesia and Japan improve military ties

Indonesia and Japan have agreed that the two Asian powers must engage in stronger cooperation, including in the military sector, to contribute to regional security particularly in the Pacific area, which has been tense due to prolonged territorial disputes.

The commitment was made by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) commander Gen. Eiji Kimizuka when the two met at Yudhoyono’s office in Jakarta on Tuesday. “The two countries agree that Indonesian-Japanese ties are very good, robust and improving, especially in the sectors of defense and military,” Yudhoyono said upon welcoming his Japanese guests.

Indonesia Will Have the Fastest Growing Defence Budget in Asia Pacific Over The Next Five Years

Global Defence Spending is down, but Asia’s spending is up. That is according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), which released the latest edition of its annual measure of military expenditure worldwide for 2014. SIPRI reported that, in 2014, global military spending dropped slightly by 0.4 percent in real terms, despite the growing instability and conflict in the Ukraine.
